Angelillo (real name Ángel Sampedro Montero) was one of the most famous spanish flamenco singers, starring several movies in the 1930s and recording a lot of succesful songs before the Spanish Civil War. Guitar player is Miguel Borrull (son), one of the most prolific guitar players. He lived and recorded most of his life in Barcelona, so when a flamenco singer recorded there he was usually hired as the guitarist for the session. "Juan Simón" became one of Angelillo's biggest hits, whoe re recorded the song again in the mid 30s for a movie called "La hija de Juan Simón". Tranfered from Odeon 182.164
